SOLIR Fall color hike on the Rogue River

On October 9, and small but hardy group gathered at Richard and Ina Dickenson's home in Prospect for a hike along the Rogue River to view the fall colors. Oh, that left out one of the party, so one swapped out, and I swapped in to this companion picture of the entire group (less one). Who's missing? No doubt the threatening rain (which barely materialized) cut down on the size of the group compared to previous years.

So, we set out on our journey, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery. This was a "do as much as you can/want to do" hike, and I was in the middle. Here I'm looking back down the trail. Shots across the Rogue were colorful, and some were better than others. While not usually thought of as fall colors, this fungus on a tree, the moss on the rocks, a large mushroom poking through the ground mulch, and these colorful mushrooms alonside less colorful toadstools each have their own beauty.
