Early in October, we got a visit from Hailey and two of her friends, Karen and Yael. Oh, and their little dogs (I jest - not so little). There was no problem getting Hailey to swing, and with some coaxing, Yael joined in for a dual swing.
On Sunday we went to Howard Prairie Lake for the day. Here Yael and Hailey bring the kayak around to the boat ramp. Then we rented a "patio boat" for a short cruise on the lake. Here Kiley and Tate (pretty much hidden) hold down the front deck. Ben and Yael enjoy the breeze as we motor along. Karen and Kiley pose for a picture. Tate considers "taking the plunge", but in the end he didn't. Actually, Kiley did take the plunge, but there are no pictures of that. Here is Kiley assuming Tate's favorite position. Coming back into port, we spot a bald eagle, which here can primarily be seen as a silhouette. A good time was had by all.
Monday afternoon Ben, Kiley, and Tate look out anxiously over the Escalade awaiting departure time. Finally, the time comes, and Yael, Karen, and Hailey pose for one last picture before heading back for the Palo Alto area.
