In late June, we went to 29 Palms to visit our friends Sandy and Larry. They live near Larry's brother, Phil. Here's a shot of Phil, Jenny, and Amelia . Along with a lot of good conversation, we got to see the Joshua Tree National Monument. I got some pictures of giant joshuas. Here is a upward looking shot of the same one.
We also looked at the many sculptures on the campus of the Copper Mountain College. Here's one that reminds me of Kokopelli. Seeing the sculptures there is worth a side trip if you can't think of any other reason to go to 29 Palms.
We had a spectacular sunset one evening, and you know I can't resist pictures of sunsets.
